Our Camp Counselors are energetic, attentive, fun people who are well-loved by both campers and parents. Many of our counselors have been with us for multiple seasons, have been campers themselves, or are referred by our Butler Montessori school community.  This fosters a rich sense of connection which provides a caring, responsive, and attentive camp community.

Both of my kids loved their Butler experience. We’ve been sending our oldest here since she was in kindergarten and she’s now 13. There are always fun stories of how much they did, how excited they were to spend time outdoors fishing and hiking and playing fun games. We will definitely be sending them back next year and appreciate all they did this summer to keep our kids and everyone else safe.

Counselors are required to complete fingerprint and background checks with the State of Maryland, Montgomery County and the FBI. Each year the staff participates in several training sessions to prepare them for their important job of working with children, as well as maintaining a safe environment for the campers.

Adriana and Leyla loooove Butler and want to try out all the camp programs. They are grateful to see repeat counselors from past years.
